I’m Rehana Ali, a licensed civil engineer with a background in construction management and interior design. I’ve spent 5+ years managing the construction of multi-million-dollar custom homes in Forest Hill, Rosedale, and Yorkville.

I started StudioRih because I kept seeing the same problem: gorgeous designs that didn’t work during the build phase and delays that occurred because no one in the room understood both sides of the process.

My experience in construction helps me anticipate challenges, catch expensive mistakes before they happen, and consider how each design decision will work on site, not just on paper.

I work with busy Toronto professionals who want a home that feels like them without having to navigate contractors, decisions, and deadlines on their own. From layouts and finishes to budgets and coordination with trades, I bring thoughtful guidance to each step of the renovation.

Through the Years

  • 2017: Laying the Foundation

    Graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University and began my career as a CAD drafter producing condominium plans for high-rise residential and mixed-use buildings in downtown Toronto.

  • 2021: Expanding Horizons

    Went back to school for Construction Management and joined a luxury custom home builder during the pandemic, coordinating ground-up residential projects in some of Toronto’s most prestigious neighbourhoods.

  • 2023: Engineering x Design

    Became a licensed Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng) and enrolled in the Interior Design program at Parsons School of Design in New York — one of the most respected design schools in the world — to explore my creative side.

  • 2026: The Birth of StudioRih

    Launched StudioRih — a boutique interior design studio for clients who want a beautifully executed space and a seamless process to match. Every project draws on a decade of technical and creative experience — turning design dreams into Rih-ality.
